Laughter Movement (Yoga)

Heartwise is excited to add laughter movement (yoga) to its list of offerings.

Many people are interested but want to know what laughter movement (yoga) is about.

Laughter yoga combines unconditional laughter with yogic breathing. It is a physical exercise that can be done sitting in a chair or standing up. Many scientists have referred to it as internal jogging that goes right into the belly and actually readjusts the internal organs. In fact, it has been proven that ten – fifteen minutes of sustained laughter everyday can strengthen one’s immune system, lower chances of heart disease, improve blood circulation, reduce blood pressure, improve sleep, assist in short term memory, and reduce anxiety. It has been proven by health researchers that there are better emotional and mental well-being outcomes through consistent sustained laughter.

I invite schools, senior communities, colleges, corporations, yoga studios, trauma centers, prisons, and  public & private companies to contact me so we can find ways to connect with each other without judgement. The goal of laughter yoga is to include all humans across cultures, countries, no matter what language or how they choose to live.

Remember even in the most difficult times a daily dose of laughter and playfulness can provide courage and strength to find resilience and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
